Performance Task: A Plan for Reconstruction Assignment: Abraham Lincoln has just been assassinated at Ford’s Theater in Washington, DC as the Civil War is drawing to a close. As a close advisor to Vice President Andrew Johnson, you have been tasked with creating a plan for reconstructing the South. Using your 20/20 hindsight, but 1860s resources, consider the failures of Reconstruction and propose a plan that you think would be more successful. Your plan can be written in paragraphs or presented using a flowchart or other form of a graphic organizer.
